About Mario Kontaxis

My professional journey began in 1995, in Middelburg MP, South Africa. I am a qualified Pastry Chef & Chocolatier. I studied Chocolate Art in Canada, even though my true passion lies in hot kitchen.

I was inspired to become a Chef by my mom, aunts and grandmother who were all amazing cooks and still are!! 

One of my greatest achievements as a Chef, was to become an Executive Chef for the restaurant “Harvest” for Sun International. Unfortunately as an executive Chef I hardly ever got the chance to cook and therefore I decided to take on a simpler role as Sous Chef. 

Main focus for the near future is to open my own restaurant back home in Cyprus…
